You need more modules apart from i2c-xxx. That only allows access to the
bus where the monitors are hanged on. Next you need a driver for your
specific LM chip in the VIA, and after that the generic sensors.o module.
In may case, I have to load the i2c-piix4 and i2c-isa for busses,
w83781d for the LM chip, and sensors. You can try if
sensors work loading the eeprom module, it can for example list your
DIMMs info (capacity, ECC, etc).
