This is exactly the sequence sent by /etc/profile.d/configure_keyboard.sh
to activate "Backspace sends Delete" in xterm. Konsole claims to be xterm,
but obviously does not emulate it correctly. As the result, backspace does
not work :(

This is with kdebase-2.1.1-7mdk, but it was always the case as far as I
remember.
