Hello,
It is a 'serial' camera. It is a Sony DCR-TRV320E video camera which has a
memory stick for taking stills.
I have a second serial mouse configured with XF-4 (InputDevice "Wheelmouse"
"SendCoreEvents").
The previous cooker version of gphoto (I can't remember which one) didn't
exhibit the random mouse movement problem. But then again I've upgraded XFree
since then as well ! (XFree86-4.0.3-7mdk)
The real reason for my attempts to raise a bug report started when I found
that down loading the pictures with thumbnails crashed gphoto, but without
was fine. Moreover all the real pictures can be downloaded without a hitch.
But I never heard back from those good gphoto people. Their bug tracker
implies that they are not interested in 4.3 bug reports since they are too
busy with version 5 (and it doesn't even have a UI !!!). When I saw
0.4.3-12mdk I hoped againts the odds that they had actually read the bug
report, but then I found this mouse problem and it still seems to crash !!!
*sigh*.
