I have a boot loader that points to hda5 where lilo takes it from there, it
is rather unusual because it shouldn't boot at all with nothing in the /boot
directory except kernel.h. I find this to be a little strange because the
exact same install (with the exception of adding the pcmcia kernel) worked
just fine on my laptop with the exact same partition scheme. I guess
Mandrake just wanted me to do a recommended install rather than expert even
though that is how I have alwasy installed Linux regardless of the
distribution without problems in the past. Oh well, it is working now so
all I have to do is get my scanner up and runing and I will be happy.
