Greetings,

Due to a previously described SCSI boot problem, I built my own kernel with
aic7xxx_old enabled (and other scsi drivers disabled). When I boot from
this, the kernel complains of an IRQ conflict, e.g.

        SCSI Subsystem driver Rev 1.00
PCI Found IRQ 3 for device 00:06.0
The same IRQ used for device 00:04.2
        SCSI Adaptec AIC7xxx Rev 6.1.8

Normally, IRQ 3 is used for the serial port. I have both serial ports
turned off in the bios. I get the same message with SCSI driver versions:
        6.1.8
6.1.11 (from The Linux Drivers Page at www.freebsd.org/~gibbs/linux)
        aic7xxx_old

Anybody familiar with this problem? Can I slow down the boot messages in
order to read them for other IRQ info?

David

P.S. Here's the quick hardware description:

        Pentium III 500 Mhz, 256MB
ASUS P2B-S (with AIC7890 on mobo)
        SCSI HD & CD
