[01:14 root@penguin:~]# modprobe zftape
/lib/modules/2.4.3-20mdk/kernel/drivers/char/ftape/lowlevel/ftape.o.gz:
invalid parameter parm_ft_fdc_driver
/lib/modules/2.4.3-20mdk/kernel/drivers/char/ftape/lowlevel/ftape.o.gz:

failed
/lib/modules/2.4.3-20mdk/kernel/drivers/char/ftape/lowlevel/ftape.o.gz:
insmod zftape failed

This is what I have in modules.conf ...
# FTape stuff
# load ftape/zftape automatically
alias char-major-27              zftape
# use ftape-internal.o for /dev/qft0
options ftape
ft_fdc_driver=ftape-internal,none,none,none
# use standard fdc controller.
options ftape-internal           ft_fdc_base=0x3f0 ft_fdc_irq=6
ft_fdc_dma=2
# make sure to have enough swap space
pre-install ftape-internal       /usr/local/bin/swapout 100

Any ideas anyone? If all fails I'll have do what I've always done with
Mandrake - build my own kernel *without* ftape support and build latest
ftape
separately. Why won't it work out of the box?

btw, I'm not in cooker - I'm in 8.0. The signature gets (Cooker) from
linux_logo - not serious but _BAD_ advertising, don't you think?
