You are taking about Ximian GNOME, aren't you..
Blame Ximian, not us.. I've sent them patches to add support for our menu
system..
You should try 8.0 :
we have integrated our menu system in "Mandrake menu" and we keep
GNOME menu separate, so people who don't like our menu can have
GNOME menu..
