Hi all.
I have a problem with latest mdk-8.0
It seems to work almost perfectly, but it happend twice in 24 hours that
system's frozen while doing something not too heavy.

First time: rpm -Uvh xsane-0.75-1mdk.i586.rpm
It was not for the package for later it installed perfectly.
Second time: while halting system, just befor stopping raid devices.

In first case I was able to reboot the system for just rpm hang up, but the
shell survived! In second case I had to do cold reset :o(
In both case I had something like "CPU 1 - Kernel cannot handle 0ff010 etc.
etc." I cannot remember all the message, it was quite long on my monitor.
So, the question: how can I debug it? can it be useful? Is it possible to
save the message?
I tried to see in /var/log/messages but all that I found was this STRANGE
lines:

Apr 30 16:27:46 monster kernel: mtrr: no MTRR for d0000000,2000000 found
Apr 30 16:27:51 monster kernel: mtrr: no MTRR for d0000000,2000000 found

զ߾v^;s/WY?o^VnMi"&KU^N
Apr 30 19:01:05 monster syslog: syslogd startup succeeded

Nothing between 16:27:51 and 19:01:05 when I restarted the computer.
Someone has ever seen something similar? :-o
Btw, kernel is 2.4.3-20mdksmp
