Note: Especially w/ the 2940UW make sure you have the correct
combination of firmware and aic7xxx(_old if needed). Have u had
trouble booting to root=/dev/sd(xn) b/c it doesn't recognize adapter?
On clean inst from cooker the kernel (243-[23-25]) does not recognize
my 2940uw on boot and i have to modprobe aic7xxx from rescue which
works fine but to boot I need it in kernel (like I said before, can't
load it later cuz there be no disk access). If fellow aic7xxx users
could give me some feedback it would be greatly appreciated. I feel
so foolish.
