Hi, I was wondering about GCC provided with LM 8.0 Name : gcc Relocations: (not relocateable) Version : 2.96 Vendor: MandrakeSoft Release : 0.48mdk Build Date: dim 08 avr 2001 12:47:16 EDT According to : - http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-2.96.html - http://gcc.gnu.org/releases.html gcc 2.96 is still under development. My question is : did Mandrake the same thing than RedHat 7.0 ? Is it possible to compile safely a kernel with this gcc ?? Thanks
