None of the 3D screensavers from xscreensaver-gl-3.31-1mdk seem to work.
I've got the nvidia drivers installed and running. tuxracer and chromium
work fine.
But, when I try to run one of the 3D screensavers, like Sierpinski3D, Gears
or whatever, I get this error message:
root window's visual 0x30 does not support the GLX extension
Why is that? xdpyinfo tells me that GLX is working (else tuxracer and
chromium wouldn't run...).
Further quite some of the enabled GLX screensavers are missing. These are:
- DangerBall
- Molecule
- GLText
- StarWars
- StonerView
- GFlux
- extrusion
- Lament
- Stairs
- Moebius
- Cage
The following non-GLX screensavers are enabled but cannot be found:
- WhirlWindWarp
- RotZoomer
- Zoom
- XRaySwarm
- XMatrix
- XJack
- Hyperball
Also "WebCollage (whacked)" cannot be run, because it needs djpeg which I
don't have installed - if this is my fault, than djpeg needs to be added to
the Requires:. djpeg is in the pacakge �libjpeg-progs�. Also I do not
think it's a good idea to have WebCollage enabled at all. Some people pay
by the minute to get onto the net - they won't be amused to find that a
screensaver is costing them money.
