With MDK 8.0 I had problems to write a image from the hd to a cd.

Xcdroast: copy cds fine, create a image fine, but to burning a image crashes:
WARNING: Installation problem? No set-uid bit on /usr/bin/mkisofts
WARNING: Installation problem? No set-uid bit on /usr/bin/readcd
Segment violation
:-(

Gtoaster: create a image, but crashes when trying to burn. :-(

GCombust: copy a image to Cd, but it is corrumped. :-((

I thought the problem should be with cdrecord, so I use "man cdrecord" to
know how to create an image and burn it and try. I have a /home/Discolin with
lots of files and directories with last tar and rpm files; according to man:

mkisofs -R -o cdimage.raw /home/Discolin
(The image was created :-))

Then I put a cd on the cdwriter and I typed:
cdrecord -v speed=6 dev=0,0 cdimage.raw

And cdrecord did it :-)

It seems the problems are with the front/end that uses cdrecord.

BDW: xcdroast was delivered with beta 3 not in final MDK 8
