Thanks for the reply Chmouel,
So I take it there's no fundamental problem. As to 'long time
philosophy', prior installs of Mandrake 6 -> 7.2 didn't exclude vfat
filesystems, no? This is the first time (ie, 8.0) i've had to edit
/etc/updatedb.conf to include Windoze files (?)
