i handled this by adding a link to the mount point. i mounted eg. a cd
as /misc/cd and made a link from /mnt/cdrom to that mount-point. now
/mnt/cdrom will still be there even nothing is mounted on /misc/cd. when
a programm tries to access /mnt/cdrom, /misc/cd will automaticly be
mounted. voila.
