I am currently trying to compile that thing. So far, the ChangeLog is as
follows and Patch6 will likely have to be augmented again...
- Release 6.0.27
- Patch0: (fc) configure patch for gcc versions > 2.95
- Patch2: (fc) misc patches for gcc-2.96
- Patch3: (gb) workaround for gcc-2.96 mysterious enum bug
- Patch4: (gb) ISO C++ forbids non-const references to temporaries
- Patch5: (gb) patches for gcc-3.0 and STLport 4.0
- Patch6: (gb) ISO C++ forbids overriding a virtual function in any
derived class that could be less exception-restrictive, i.e. throws
more exceptions, than the base-class virtual function. Most of the
fixes are autogenerated thanks to Source3 [excp-specs-patch]
- Patch7: (gb) sal/osl/unx/file.c used False instead of sal_False
- Patch8: (gb) fix for string concatenation in macro definition
BTW, it seems people at Sun are also facing problems with their current
(Fort C++ 6 update 2 ?) or upcoming compiler, supposedly more
ISO-conformant. Probably Patch6 and the like will be useless as soon as
632 or newer is out.
Bye,
Gwenol.
