I have Yahoo Messenger which alerts me to new yahoo email and I have it linked to open konqueror. Starting with the most recent update to kde alpha (kdebase-2.2-0.alpha1.7mdk, kdebase-nsplugins-2.2-0.alpha1.7mdk), If it is the 1st konqueror window to open, all of the link colors turn to black (instead of blue) for Yahoo Mail.
