[Cooker] Updating vs reinstalling

Until tonight I have always ran my "cooker" script and completely reinstalled 
the latest cooker every time. I have decided I would like to just update my 
cooker install instead, bur I can't find simple enough instructions. 
Can someone point me to the right howto, please?
