(This was reported several times in a.o.l.m as well).
I have ASUS V7100 (GF2MX), Iiyama Vision Master Pro 410 (A702HT)
monitor. Tried under stock 8.0 with nVidia 1.x drivers (do not remember
exact release). I run 1024x768x24 @ default modelines.
Using nvidia driver, display is shifted to the left as compared with nv
driver. It is not different modelines problem - in both case modelines
as reported by xvidtune are *exactly* the same. Moreover, my monitor
automatically saves positions for ten different frequencies - and if I
move display to the right while having "nvidia" driver, display is
shifted to the right under "nv" driver! - that means, that most
parameters *are* the same in both cases (at least, to make monitor
believe it is the same mode) But, obviously, something must be different.
This is quite annoying as I have Mdk8 with nvidia and cooker with nv (I
do not want to compile nvidia driver every time I update kernel) and
this display shift is ugly.
TIA for any idea how to fix it.
