Hi VERSION (rsync ftp.sunet.se) Linux-Mandrake Cooker-i586 20010526 21:16 This is just install test on spare parts so no big deal. Installed separate hdb for Cooker. Time zone - error as before. During reboot, as before hdb5 was not cleanly umounted, check forced. Detecting USB and OK - but goes into loop. Reboot: Checking root filesystem /dev/hdb5 is mounted. Cannot continue, aborting. Puts me into shell in mc lifts out USB from init.d Reboots into the same again i.e. when attempting to boot as user (separate partition) gets no directory /home/guran logging in with home = "/". Booting into Mdk8.0 and RH7.1 and gets nothing about problems with hd's. If it is VIA related then the last additions seams to be in 2.4.5ac1. regards guran
