Hello, If you add the line initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.4-6mdk.img to lilo.conf with kernel-2.4.4-6mdk the 'hda' is found to be already mounted when e2fsck runs as part of the boot sequence. The check fails and you end up at a 'repair' prompt. Commenting out the initrd line and 2.4.4-6mdk boots normally. Owen
