The CDROMs should have come with md5sums.   Place a CDROM in the
drive, do not mount it, and run:

md5sum /dev/cdrom

to obtain the md5sum of any CDROM.   If it does not agree with the
given md5sum value the CDROM copy is defective.   The same md5sum
should be given by your downloaded iso image:

md5sum downloaded-iso-file
