I had already done that and got:
[root@Archimedes guran]# /etc/init.d/gmp status
bash: /etc/init.d/gmp: No such file or directory
[root@Archimedes guran]#

But I looked in rcx.d and found no symlink like I did in RedHat7.1 like 
@S85gpm ->../init.d/gpm

 So I will continue my study, by the way I may have constructed this myself 
as I have a red colour !K30usb.
