The documentation that comes with Win4Lin 3.0 explains how to do this (in
other words RTFM of course). What you need to do is open
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4 in, for example KEdit, search for ...
# **********************************************************************
# Graphics device section
# **********************************************************************
Section "Device"
...and add...
Option "BackingStore" "On"
...repeat for any other "Device" sections.
BTW, Win4Lin 3.0 is an excellent product now. You can start it to use
internet dialup via Linux, or alternatively start it with no dialup
connection but using Network Neighbourhood - which makes Samba very
interesting. It can now use your computer's ECP port so you can use your
winprinter with its Windows driver as a change from CUPS.
