I am trying to upgrade my samba to version 2.0.9 or 2.2.1
I downloaded the rpms from rpmfind.net
When using urpmi I get this error:
[root@kennedy Samba]# urpmi samba-2.0.9-1.3mdk.i586.rpm
rpmtools::read_rpms is too old, upgrade rpmtools package
unknown data associated with kdeaddons at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0/i386-linux/urpm.pm line 1048, <F> line 13.
When trying good old rpm I get:
[root@kennedy Samba]# rpm -i samba-2.0.9-1.3mdk.i586.rpm
error: samba-2.0.9-1.3mdk.i586.rpm cannot be installed
What the hell is going on?
I tryed using MandrakeUpdate as well, but it will not install samba aswell.
Is my rpm broken?
I am using the MDK8 system
