[Cooker] a.out libs

If i do a ls -l /usr/lib/lib*.a i see i have all kinds of libs installed who end with 
a .a like librpm.a . Aren't those a.out libraries. AKAIK those are obsolete and 
especially with a lib like librpm.a i doubt that it has any uses.
