On 2.4? Both. On 2.2.19, both the hard drive and the CD-ROM are
seen.

I can't install either, no. The drive in the machine is a transplant,
so the OS is already on there. I have it booting fine using the
2.2.19 kernel, but I want 2.4 features (iptables for one).

Nope, but I did try 2.2.19-??mdk from Cooker and it is fine. I am not
sure why I would try 2.2.19-10mdk at this point if I want 2.4.
