Same here with rpm-4.0.3-0.8mdk. The only way I could get this to work was to download rpm-4.0.2 from rpm.org and tie a link from /usr/lib/librpm.so.0 to the one created by rpm-4.0.2. Get loads of things like 'error: unrecognized db option: "verify" ignored', but at least it works so long as I don't try to rpm -e anything !!! Smith <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I experiened the same problems. The way I solved it was to install rpm via the tar.gz (from the www.rpm.org site) -- I built the rpm package as the prebuilt binaries didn't work. After installing the new rpm package, I upgraded my locales packages (noted it on an earlier post) and then updated my rpm package -- everything seems to be back to normal.
