I'm enclosing my XF86config files for both XFree 4 and 3.3. I doubt
that the idea that subtracting any memory from your RAM would work,
nothing like that has ever worked for me. My config files are for 4
MB of video memory, as you know, the amount that is detected or you
enter is commented out when the file is generated, I just removed the
comment. In your case you have to change it to your amount of memory,
but it should work as it is. The monitor is a generic one set for 16
bpp at 70 khz refresh rate. You may have to change it, but it should
work with any modern monitor. I hope this works, and I'm sending it to
the cooker list as well.
