In meny was:

initrd(hd0,4)
should be (OBS! (hd0,4) is boot partition for Mdk 8.0)

kernel (hd0,6)/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.6-1mdk root=/dev/hda7 hdc=ide-scsi quiet
vga=788
initrd (hd0,6)/boot/initrd-2.4.6-1mdk.img
I never let Cooker write to my MBR or boot partition.
