I have /mnt/floppy and /mnt/cdrom supermount'ed, but the floppy drive
isn't even in the machine (laptop) and there's no cd in the drive. I do
however keep 2 ISO images loopback mounted, but unmounting those seemed
to have no effect.

Does anyone know why in the world RPM thinks it needs to look at all
mount points? This seems really stupid to me.
