Found something and managed to get my color quickcam vc usb working with 
gqcam and a usb driver from 
http://digilander.iol.it/demarchidaniele/quickcam-vc.html

its looking good, needs some tweeks to get color i think in the driver code
or something.... but it works... with gqcam.... now i just have to figure out
how to get video conferancing to work with it...
