Since my rpm was in segfault mode, I am installing things using
the rpm2cpio trick, but still, after installing rpm*15mdk.rpm, db3
and popt, if I try to use "rpm --rebuilddb" I get a segfault,
but I can use my older 8.0b3 edition "rpm.old --rebuilddb".
Is there a specific order to installing the needed packages? If I
install via rpm2cpio, I won't get any pre/post install scripts, so is
there something else I can do manually to get RPM working again?
