I was attempting to upgrade some packages from cooker (kde & apache), I got a large list of dependencies that mandrake update said would be installed also.  The update had several failures and then after I closed mandrake update and attempted to restart it it failed.  I then shutdown and rebooted, now X fails to start and when I try startx I get the message that " default font "fixed" cannot be found.

What have I done ?  Can it be fixed with out a complete reinstall?

Thanks,

Chuck
