Not needed, a solution was already posted to kde-devel.
When building, don't use -lbfd -liberty at the end of command line, but
rather /usr/lib/libiberty.a /usr/lib/libbfd.a
The problem, I guess, it that for some reason gcc picks up the libibery
from the egcs package....
