so like i test my theory. i use the rescue disk to chroot to my ext3
(2.4.7-7, which i think is the prob) and run lilo. go back, same probs.
i double checked my conf files, not a prob. back to rescue, lilo off
the 2.4.7-6, and it works fine (remember that the 247-7 still wont get
going in init). I see chmouel is newerizing the whole freakin' core to
the system, so i may see what a fresh install gets me either late
tonight or sometime tomorrow if me can. should i use rescue to upgrade
those rpms and see what happens (ie go to 247-8,new init, new
filesystem, new e2fs stuff), on the 247-7 side? I am curious, for after
this it is off to reiser. ;P
