recently building a kernel (bzImage) crashes at the same place. the script
reads libraries having to do with raid disks (about ten lines from the
beginning of the script) and then crashes with an error message. This has
happened on various versions of the kernel and happens whether or not I have
raid disks supported, unsupported, or as a module. The latest version I've
tried is 2.4.8-4. Is there some necessary package I didn't install? I have
the latest kernel-headers, dev, and devfsd installed and the default
development files from Freq-3.
