I think he means the "2.2.20pre" patches from Alan Cox,
the latest being (right now):
ftp://ftp.kernel.org//pub/linux/kernel/people/alan/2.2.20pre/pre-patch-2.2.20-9.bz2
Perhaps they could go into a "kernel22-2.2.20-0." series?
