I know of a tool for windows that will do it.. but i'm not sure if there is
one for linux....

it's shareware (30day limit).. it lets you copy the contents of the ISO's to
your hard drive... then you can make a bootdisk to install linux off of your
hard drive with the rawwritewin.exe file in dosutils. (using the hd.img
image)...
