Again and again I read sad stories about unlucky folks who try to try cooker. They define cooker source in rpmdrake, press "Update source" - and nothing happens. They wait some time but mostly after half an hour they decide that something goes wrong. No wonder - cooker hdlist is about 12MB now (yes, it can finally show ChangeLog, hurray!) and it means at least 45 minutes using normal modem. Do not you think that having to download 12MB just to find out I have 300KB update is ehh ... ridiculous? I've started to write "I have radical suggestion" and then I realized I do not :-( The whole story is just way too complicated. So I just draw your attention to this problem - it is *real* problem, browse Mandrake NG. Any idea? -andrej
