Interesting. Well you are only one who has responded at all to the reports and you
are quite involved in the writing of the installer or so I understand. I have not a
machine to test it on but changelog has seen no fixes or changes at all in that area
recently (since prob first noticed) so I will assume the problem is still there. If
we get to rcs, I may be compelled to try again.
Whomever _did_ write that (printerdrake in installer?) code, it would be appreciated
if you at least took a look. Need a refresher? All goes well until sometime during
fetch and install of the packages required for print the Packages index file goes sour
and rpm is permanently broken.
If rpmlib bug, a 1.543 (I think that is current, if not, replace the number) rebuild
(from earlier version)...in other words, what it is now, may have fixed. This is
because it is a problem in installer code only. But like I said, no machine to test
it on.
