I did. I first wrote to cooker. Than, as I got no response I wrote an other
mail to Daouda LO, David BAUDENS and Laurent MONTEL as I figured them out
as the last ones working on KDE. I explained in all detail the Problems I
had with my keyboard violated and how this could be fixed.
Daouda agreed right from the beginning that it was a HACK to add those two
lines to the startkde script. In the mean time Stew added them to the
xinitrc package => they should be removed from startkde.
So there was some mail through the cooker list, some of the list. But
Laurent until now never responded nor removed the hack once added by
Daouda. Therefore I decided to go back to cooker to get a bit more
audience. Maybee one of you in Paris can go to Laurent as he does not
answer to mails nor reacting :-(
As he released "kdebase-2.2-9mdk" half an hour ago without fixing this bug
he really seems not to be interrested in Bug reports. And I did even more,
I gave him not only a bug report, but also a bug fix (it is in xinitrc
since 2001-08-08 14:46:04 !). I repeat it once again I reported the bug
for kdebase-2.2beta!
I can spent my energy in lots of more sensefull things then reporting a
bug over and over again. This was the last time I've tried it for this
bug. As a result I'll also stop reporting future KDE bugs I'll find, as
Laurent will ignore them probably the same way as he did wit this one :-(
