I still cannot get anti-aliasing to work in cooker.
The last time I got it to work I disabled a section in
/etc/X11/XftConfig
# modifications from Laurent Culioli
#match
# any size < 14
# any size > 8
# edit antialias=false;
But it failed again after an upgrade several weeks ago
and so far, I have not received much feedback on this
issue.
I have noticed that when fonts found in
dir "/usr/share/fonts/ttf/decoratives"
are showing up properly in kde then anit-aliasing
functions correctly.
The fonts appear correct from within drakfont, but not
within konqueror or the kde desktop.
~/.kde/config/kdeglobals has antialiasing=true
I have tried to disable the Type 1 fonts from within
/etc/X11/fs/config and /etc/X11/XftConfig but that
didn't work either (months ago, disabling Type 1 fonts
got anti-aliasing to work)
This has been a continual adventure for me.... I will
get it working fine for a while then get a new twist
after an upgrade and have to find out why...
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
