Here is how I do it on a fresh install of Cooker:

First I have downloaded the diff mentioned in this mail:

Then I use the file NVIDIA_kernel.spec mentioned in this mail:
http://www.mail-archive.com/cooker@linux-mandrake.com/msg42176.html

In /usr/src/RPMS/SOURCES/ I have the diff file the 'NVIDIA-kernel-tgz' and 
the kernel-spe.
I do #chown root:root N*

I do #rpm -bb NVIDIA_kernel.spec 

I do # rpm -ivh 'the shit that comes out of above'

I do # rpm -ivh 'GLX-whatever'

I edit XF86Config-4 -> add 'Load "glx" and change driver "nv" to "nvidia".
