I have a rather long list of problems after installing 8.1b2 over a freq2
installation. I had problems with the no hdlist found issue but manged to
get past that and still save my home and var partitons. Many of these I have
seen addressed but I am concerned that I have so many that I may need to
reinstall; or maybe get some advice about what order to attack.
1) nvidia drivers not working, I am not clear on the devfs changes
2) no sound at all, I reset the sound mixer levels
3) Netscape Plugins from KDE control center error- "There was an error
loading the module. The diagnostics is: " Nothing more is displayed but an
"OK" button.
4) Security update, does not provide a list of security mirrors
5) My scroll mouse works but in Kmail and Knode it only scrolls the message
window, regardless of what window has the focus.
I am a relative newbie, about 3 months with linux now, Suse 7.1 Mandrake 8.0
freq2 and now 8.1b2. I am learning quickly but could some advice.
