Poincar�;
Cauchy (boring mathematics);
Urbain Le Verrier (found Neptune);
Auguste Comte (found Uranus);
etc.
Do you have other ideas?
And what about french artists? C�zanne, Matisse, Manet, Renoir,
Delacroix, Gauguin... I think all those names are not copyrighted (like
"Picasso" is), and they are famous worldwide.
