[Cooker] rpm segfaultt

i have rpm 4.0.3, and it now segfaults.  I can't view packages, list them, 
install them nothing.  Kpackage, gnorpm, rpmdrake all crash on startup.  
I'ver tried rpm --rebuilddb but that segfaults too.  Any ideas or do rpms 
just suck that bad?
