Yes. You didn't read the explanation in the first screen. It explains just
that :-).

Basically, this is too dangerous to provide an easy and graphical way to
shoot your harddrive.

With the non-graphical auto install, many people yelled at us when they
saw that it cleared the partitions in some cases when they didn't notice.
Even if there was a message at beginning. So now the message is in red
blinking color ;p.

What do you mean? The auto_inst.cfg created on the floppy by the Auto
Install floppy generator of Mandrake Control Center?

This is surprising since they should be the same.
