i think it is the reason. it really depends on the wm. for example it is
impossible to embedde something with the previous version of icewm..
the wm must implement some special event of the X standart. not always the
case.

yep, that confirms my thought. before diskdrake was embedded as an X
apllication (ie. launching the apli outside mcc and then tell it that its
parent window has changed..) and now using Gtk plug.
