[Cooker] New NVidia weirdness

        Loaded the new NVidia 1.0-1512 against kernel-2.4.8-19mdk and 
XFree86-4.1.0-12mdk .   Everything but Quake 3 worked.   I couldn't get Quake 
3 to work until I turned on aRts, and then used 'soundwrapper quake3'.   It 
works, but doesn't have sound (using a Creative Live Value).   All other 
sound works (xmms, xawtv, etc)

        I've been bashing around all day trying to sort this one out.   Any ideas?
