It's a notebook - Gateway 9150XL with an ATI Rage Pro LT chipset. I
chose XFree 3.3.6 with 3d acceleration - which worked fine with previous
8.1 cooker snaps.
I will try to disable the "smooth fonts" - or anti aliasing . . .
